Ja’afar Mahmud Adam

Ja’afar Mahmud Adam was a prominent Islamic scholar and Quran reciter from Nigeria, born in 1961 in Daura, Katsina State. He was highly influential in Islamic education and da’wah, particularly in northern Nigeria, and was known for his recitations in the Hafs ‘an Asim narration. He held degrees in Islamic studies, served as an Imam, and established numerous Islamic schools and centers. His lectures and Tafsir sessions were widely attended and broadcast until his assassination in 2007.
